Usually there is an "isolator" bushing which welded onto the gearshift. It also it held onto the shift tower with a pin through it that also has a couple bushing on it. Most of the time a new isolator bushing assembly fixes it. Sometimes it takes a shift tower assembly as well. None of it is very complicated to change.
