Big Sky Country | we were wildcatting in eastern Montana, it was coming on to spring.
the co hand was from down south, never been around cows, he'd come up on rig floor, shoot the bull
"how can that rancher tell when these cows are having babies?"
'Well, they'll kinda go off by themselves, lay down........."
mid day, a nice day, about 300-400 black cows, scattered for half a mile , most kinda laying down catching some rays.....
"looks like that ol' boys agonna get a buncha calves, today..............." | |
