Question of "why?" Didn't need asked. We know why, he wants it shiny and nice again.
It may in fact improve the resale and provide some benefit there.
It's a known fact by farms that have more than one employee, that nice looking equipment gets treated nicer by employees thereby reducing maintenance costs.
Sometimes a guy just wants his things to look good, nothing wrong with that.
