Silage is not rare around here but most that do it are small milking herds and a few Amish. My county used to have a over 100 dairys but last I heard we were down to 20. I know it will make good feed and cheaper feed ingredients but the extra feeding time and equipment even if I would find some one to chop still need a tmr or a feed wagon of some sort. I am just concerned that 30 thousand later I have gained little. Thanks for all the advice.
