You can get a feeder faceplate conversion to run the old style heads on a new style combine. IF you have to buy the parts from CNH, it probably is not a very cost effective option.

I have a 7130 combine that I like very much. We traded in a 2388 and have not been disappointed.
I run a Drago head. Other than poor chopping in some conditions, it is a very good head and has had very little downtime. If you don't care about chopping, the Drago picks corn very well. Even if you get a chopping head, you can either just remove the knives and go or you could easily take off the entire chopping gearbox. However, if you don't have a dealer reasonably close Drago might nit be your choice.
