If you really want them, make it know that you will PICK THEM UP if needed.  Then, go get the d*** things regularly, and don't wait till there is one giant load. 

You would not believe how many people stop to ask about poles off the job, and the poles lie there till they rot.

When a guy will come get half a load twice, that tells me he is serious about wanting poles.

Another sign:  I drop them in his barnyard, and when I bring another load, the first load is GONE. 

Investor owned utilities'(think: NOT the coop) have to get rid of poles, too.
