I seem to get more calls from dealers and customers who had been always planting corn into bean stubble now wanting to equip their planters for more and tougher corn residue. There has been an increase in planter purchase activity as harvest winds down in some areas. I would agree with the 10% number above in the central corn belt - that may be all we can do in the central belt. The true increase in corn may have to rely on outlying non-traditional corn belt locations if there is to be a significant increase in the supply of corn.
