Will second the 3/4 impact. After breaking a couple of sockets with the high torque 1/2 inch impact, I bought a 3/4. While the 1/2 inch is rated for as much power the sockets are not as strong as 3/4 impact sockets. Have heard of the anvil breaking on the 1/2 inch impact when pushed hard. If you want high torque get the 3/4 impact, then for the smaller stuff use a compact 1/2 inch or 3/8 inch impact.
