| I have no firsthand experience with the calmer rolls. Look like a good, legit product. I saw the demonstration at Louisville, spoke to one of Marion’s right hand men. Had a great conversation.
A concern of mine after seeing these is if the rolls leave a mat of chopped stalk confetti, doesn’t the soil underneath the mat take longer to dry out in the spring versus a standard OEM intermeshing knife roll? Thinking in terms of running a sprayer across corn stalks 2 weeks ahead of soybean planting.
Will the confetti pieces get swept away by either wind or rain like regular chopping head residue?
**Edit** My concerns would be for no-till situations.
