If you want to make money feeding cattle you have to do what no one else wants to do. You have to be good with a calculator and not carry a lot of debt. Be willing to feed different classes of cattle. Might be cows one day, 1100 lb cutting Bulls the next. If you can buy a miss managed bull for 90cents and slip it on a fat truck for $120 that's were the gravy is.

As far as a barn that is something I would skip until you get into some numbers. Don't get the horse in front of the carriage.


did that on a whole yard of heiferette's once.... clipped the tails, waited a couple weeks Tyson buyer came out.....whole yard went. that buyer never came back .... wonder why?
