Subject: RE: grazing annuals

Central Texas
If a person decides to plant SS for summer grazing would suggest planting a BMR variety. A friend who formerly grew SS for stocker grazing told me he got 1/2lb per day better gains with the BMR than the standard varieties. FWIW-he no longer plants summer annuals for his stockers.

Also the highlighted statement in Mace's last pic really summarizes what many have learned over the years. Summer stockers can very easily be a case of buy high/sell low.
