Subject: grazing annuals

TX
need some advice on an idea. with corn prices being near breakeven i was think of putting a field into annuals to graze with stocker calves. Ive already got a rye grass cover on the field. i was thinking about busting it up with poly wire into paddocks and late this spring as the calves leave a paddock planting sorghum sudan behind them so that its not all in the same growth stage. I would then rotate through this all summer until the end of the growing season then go back into soybeans the next year. has anyone done anything like this? what kind of gains could I expect? What kind of stocking rate would it handle? i get about 40" of rain a year and this ground usually makes 140-160 bu acre corn.
