The funny thing is I could double (or more) our flat wet storage (30k) and have similar results for less than the cost of a used dryer and get usable storage that I could dry into at the end of the season for 1/3 of the price per bushel.

Where I am at in Sep when it was warm need to get wet bin empty @ least once per week, twice is better . When drying wheat in June about 3 days is as long as want to be before getting wet bin empty , have air on the hopper bin. Too much wet storage is problematic here until it cools off and corn gets below 20%.

As far as cost about $1 bu cheaper to build a big bin for extra storage vs a smaller one that would be used as wet or dry storage.

In my case had a 6000 bu bin that had to be moved as was setting were the dryer was going to set. Bought a Sukup hopper, two more rings, stiffeners for four rings and made into 10,000 bu wet hopper. Done the work ourselves on the hopper bin and set the bin on top of the hopper with our crane.
