You have to ask just how long the dairy farmers are willing to get beat up?

Dave you milked for a long time ,with how the dairy industry has gone would you be opposed too a Canadian style quota system. fwiw we have no dairy or feathers so we are "free" market in hogs/grain like you guys ,..but when I look at dairy/feather here in Canada they are the bright spots in ag. --sure quota has problems but you have a system that maintains supply with out flooding the market...and with out shopping for specials today milk is 4 L (little over 1 US gal. ) $4.59 CAd ($3.50 USD) and eggs large-$1.88 doz. ($1.50 USD)....sounds socialist but all "free market" farming is subsidized at different levels by gov'ts..... free markets/capitalistic system sounds great but there is hardly a business that doesn't get gov't help....build an auto mfg. facility in Ontario and incentives/tax credits will pay 20% of cost...no easy answers
