A 33' 22k bin could probably be built for $2.50 a bushel. Think about how little that extra storage cost over 40 years and I guarantee you're gonna need it.

You notice a pattern here that you're the only guy here in favor of a hopper? It's not for no reason. A few more years farming and storage experience and your opinion will probably change.


He is not the only one in favor of a hopper bin. Have a hopper bin for wet holding bin. Put it up in 2009 and MO hasn't changed. No way would put up a flat bottom bin for wet grain feeding the dryer.

Also no way would rely on one grain dryer to dry corn. Put up a 36FT GSI top dry for added drying cap, instead buying a larger dryer. If something happens to dryer like three years ago, when it was down several days from an electric fire that had to be rewired. Kept plugging along drying corn without having to shut down harvest.
