SE ND | Weaned calves today. Oldest steer was 231 days old, youngest was 180 days old, banded and slit last weekend, second round of shots, and used quite wean for the first time.
Empty cleaned trailer weighted thru local scale, then pulled quite wean, loaded and hauled 9 miles to scale. They averaged 810 pounds. No creep, one week of graining cows and calves to get them used to the bunk.
Is this inline with what others see? never really weighed calves so don't have a base line how we did this year.
Will try to get a few pics next few weeks.
