nw oh | I start our Holstein calves in bedded barns from 225 to 400 or 500#. Then go on slats till finish. Cattle on them now were barely 400#. Been there since July and are doing awesome. I almost think the smaller we place them the better.
They have their cons too because when they are full of manure you can't dry stack in a corner of a field. Got to within 6" last spring before pumper worked us in and the weather cleared | |
