Chad H - 11/19/2017 15:10 A 33' 22k bin could probably be built for $2.50 a bushel. Think about how little that extra storage cost over 40 years and I guarantee you're gonna need it. You notice a pattern here that you're the only guy here in favor of a hopper? It's not for no reason. A few more years farming and storage experience and your opinion will probably change.

A 30' 8 wide ring bin, approx 18,000 bu peaked full.

Full floor, big centrifical fan, roof vents, stairs, power sweep, concrete and labor.   (Included everything except for the electrical work.)

Cost right around $32,000 last May.     Before electric work it's under $1.80/bushel

Could spend $3600 getting the power hooked up and still be at $2/bu.

You will NEVER regret building a bigger bin that you thought you needed when you built it.
