You might consider Murray Grey bulls for conformation.
When I lived back east in dairy country the beef guys running cheap dairy crossed cows loved the calves out of the bulls I sold them.
I tried to borrow one of the bulls back and the guy said "son, until I die that bull will never leave that pasture across the road from my house."
