Newguy - 11/19/2017 07:45 In the complaints of wet storage, there is only one. And it is NEVER that one has too much of it. You could probably trade for a longer auger and put up a 15000 bu flat bin for the price of a cone hopper.

Might be able to do a 20,000 bin for the cost of the 7000 bu hopper.

Don't let the auger determine what size wet bin you put up.    Trade that 66' auger for an 82' (or longer) and build a bigger wet bin for the future.

Yields will continue to climb and combines will get bigger, even if you buy older used combines they are getting bigger too.   In 10 yrs time a 7000 bu bin won't be much different than a 3500 bu bin today.
