| I beg to differ with you as I have an operating 1965 4020 powershift with a 4430 manifold installed.we made a small modification in the ,manifold.no. six cylinder by itselfempties into the manifold proper.we cut it down to fit and welded in a new top wall of stainless steel.it works and an infrared thermometer shows no difference in operating temp.we also smoothed the surface on the exhaust side of the manifold drilled and tapped and mounted a 4320 manifold elbow which passed through the hood in the same place as the m & w exhaust pipe did it was necessary to shim the elbow to line up with the turbo using stainless 3/8 cap screws and stainless flat washers.this tractor is very powerful and is presently operating a supreme 700 twin screw mixer feed processor--no the 4430 manifold won't work unless you modify it---it works we also have another 65 4020 powershift with dual remotes we installed a 7700 turbo combine motor in and that required the same modification.incidently after soe"tuning" both tractors dyno 155. | |
