I did look at the tissue analysis bench marks for alfalfa. The Illinois data is a little low compared to what I have been told to look for.

Just shows to go you different researchers come up with different answers. Not to say they are wrong just their results are different from what other researchers have found in different soils and a different climate.

Possibly their corn growing fertility bench marks are also different than what is found to be true in another soil and/or climate.
