Is the 88 series the same as the 86 series couplers ? On the 86 we use to reach around the back side and push the cartridge out with your fingers when you are pushing the hose in. Then somewhere we found handles that bolted to the mounting bracket that helped hold out the cartridge and they worked a lot better.
