| I'm getting nervous about possible huge increases in corn acres for '07. I sold some more new crop Friday for 14 cents less than I booked some for a week or so ago but that price might look awfully good if all these acres get planted. I normally plant 50/50 to 60/40 corn but I am tilling in anticipation of 100% corn and everyone I talk to here in NC Iowa is pretty much doing the same. The analyst on Market to Market Friday night says there is no way we will plant enough corn acres next year but I think we could easily see another 30 million acres of corn. Tell me I'm wrong. I'm afraid the CBOT could hammer soybeans based on the fundamentals and be able to buy lots of corn acres at lower prices than are offered now. Hope I'm wrong. | |
