Montana | We can be putting on 300# of seed and fert so it needs allot of air velocity. This leads to a lot of seed bounce in seed trench of the air drill. Some seed lays on the bottom and some bounces up and is buried in the closing dirt. I started using "Y's" in my air tubes about 10 years ago. Probably lets out 40% of the air therefore reduces velocity of the product. I'm now using the D-cup Diffusers and all air is exhausted and seed is just dropped from the height of the diffuser. Almost ALL seed lays right on the bottom of the seed trench like I want it to. | |
