Finger Lakes NY
I have Holstein steers: I put up high moisture shell corn in an ag bag with hammer mill. My nutrionist wanted me to bag it with no screens in mill. I decided to used the biggest screens and while you can find some whole kernals, it still ground it up pretty fine. For my finishing steers, I am feeding 20 lbs corn silage, 18 lbs of ground HM Corn, 2 lbs of a ddg, 2 1/2 lbs of whole oats and 5 lbs of grass/clover 50% baleage + minerals, salt. All processed in vertical TMR mixer.
