Subject: Drove to Pella yesterday..........

Renville Minnesota

Cousin Nick plays football for Central collage, I always thought if they ever played St. Johns of Collegeville, Id make the trip to watch..............Well, it happened last Saturday, and, unfortunatley the Johnnies beat Central college 24-13.

Anyhoo,

I Usually observe the feild conditions on the way.  I only get down there every 3-4 years, so Im usually surprised to see how things change.   Iowa has made big improvements in roads!!!

No-till usually seemed to start, or be more common practice, close to Des Moines, with most ALL no-till south east of Des Moines.  I was surprised to see ALLOT of corn stalks that were worked this fall.

Whats going on in that part of the country?    Im guessing corn on corn, as no-till seems to have been a good fit in that part of the country for the last 15-20 years or so?

If its corn on corn, like I see what is going to happen "here" in my part of the world, maybe a guy should be buying bean futures and sellin more 07 corn?????

Things sure will be interesting.

Thanks for any info from SW Iowa.
