| I just had liquid hog manure applied with an eight thousand gallon tank with disks that essentially throws a little dirt on top of the manure. It was applied yesterday and today when the temperature was in the teens and 20's. I would like to rip the ground to relieve the compaction. My question is should I do it as soon as possible or wait until next week when it warms up? Will I be wasting the N by further tillage or since it is cold will the N be saved? It will get into the 40's and possibly 50's next week. | |
