Subject: You guys are lucky it's above the ground

Huntley Montana
We got Beets to harvest. Has to thaw out so we can go without delivering frozen chunks of dirt. Then the trucks & tractors like to sink. Trucks have to run next to harvestor, sometime it takes a "halter" & a lead tractor on the truck. Then we hit a wet spot with the harvestor & use the "halter" on the puller tractor.
IF I can figgure out the new camera I'll post some pic's.
It's a mess here in SC Montana, about 7000 acre of beets left here to harvest, was 1 of the best looking beet crops ever for the area . Harvest costs went from $200 up to $350-400 acre. Trucks don't like mud.
How wouuld you like a pair of 12-16" deep truck tracks every 11-12' 50-60,000# 10 wheelers. 11 good thing is tha soil is so wet that it will freeze & heave this winter. I'd bet the truck tracks will freeze 3-6' deep depending on how much snow we get this winter.
