why is so hard to understand that you do not need a deadly weapon which was entirely built to show and inflict casualties of a great number to the average gun owner for recreational use. i asked a sheriff this morning if he went into a gun shop which weapon would he outlaw, first words out of his mouth were the AR-15.
How is it built to show and inflict casualties of a great number? Do you realize that the guns I pictured above are THE EXACT SAME GUN with a different stock? Both semi automatic. Both the same magazine capacity. Both .22 caliber. Same barrel. Same firing mechanism. Same rate of fire. Even made by the same company. EXACTLY the same. Why do people think one should be banned and not the other? I don't get it.
People think AR-15s are sooooo deadly and dangerous when the only real difference between them and a semi auto hunting rifle is appearance. They LOOK scary. Its like saying vehicles with black paint, black rims and big tires is more deadly than the stock version. It has been said before and it needs to be said again. An AR-15 is NOT an assault rifle. It is simply a standard gun customized for looks with a few extra features that makes it no more or less deadly. The media started the myth that "AR" stands for Assault Rifle. IT in fact stands for ArmaLite Rifle.
