Oklahoma | When I was in college worked at the schools hog farm. Farrowed 40-50 sows at a time. We had 2 trashcans we called the dead cans for the baby pigs that didn't make it. It was a Friday and the dead cans were about halfway full. The boss said make she and take those to the o.a.d.d.l. which was a place that had a freezer and they would cremate once a week. We'll they didn't get taken. It was 100+ degrees all weekend and on monday morning the dead cans had swelled up to the point the pigs were overflowing and the smell was unbelievable. It took 4 of us to get them taken care of and we were all dry heaving. That's a smell I'll never forget. | |
