We plant alot of rea. The 840,820,+ 550 do well for us. On good dirt the 840 seems to out yield the 550 by 15-20 BPA but on more marginal ground or a dry year the 550 will sometimes beat the 840. We had a qtr of rea 840 with a strip of dk 3212 in the middle the 840 beat the 3212 by 30 BPA but was 1 point wetter.
