If they are paying you on gross bushels and not charging you shrink like you say, then I think around $0.19 to $0.20/bushel worth of value would be lost as it dries in the field from 20% down to dry corn.

They are charging you $0.16 to $0.17 in addition to that.

Drying on your own would likely cost more like $0.04 based upon the replies in this thread so they're making $0.12 to $0.13 off of you.

That being said, you likely have less field loss at 20% than 15 or 16%.

I don't think what you're experiencing is terrible honestly. Not ideal but not terrible.
