I do not understand the "only good coyote is a dead coyote" thing. They kill a lot of rodents. Yes we raise cattle. I cannot say they have never bother calves but we have many times higher losses from dogs and big cats. Most coyotes are scavengers of dead and other's kills unless we are talking about mice/rats/gophers, etc.
I agree. Most coyotes are scared of their own shadow. But there fun as hell to kill. Set up a fox pro and have 4 or 5 come to you and it's about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.
