East Central, IA | I read your initial post also. My personal take is that you might be messing with them too much. I would try only feeding those calves once a day for a few days. Let them get a little hungry. They won't starve if you give them one bottle a day. Let them wear the cow down until she lets them suck. Keep them penned in a small area, but not so small that something will get stepped on. Humans have a tendency to rush in and screw up nature. Leave them alone for a few days and hide and watch for a while. She might be doing more than you think when you are not around. | |
