central pa | The experience I had with it was they pay on a square footage. So wide x so long. We went a little wider with one of ours so I could get tractor and mower through so ended up paying more out of pocket. Also they only pay for fence to their specs. If they specifically 4 strand and you want 8. The additional posts, bracing and wire is on you. I wouldn't be concerned about 8 strands of high tensile holding calves in as long as it is tight. Doesn't even need to be real hot. I would be more concerned about it only being 52" high and cattle try to go over. Ever have an animal try to go over a high tensile fence and not make it? Can get tangled up and get really ugly fast. I would be looking at pipe or guardrail if you have access to it and it will still be there for your grandkids! Good used pipe is hard to come by here in Pennsylvania. Would love to get my hands on a trailer load. | |
