I use a 12v nemo solar pump with a group 31 battery and two 100 watt solar panels on a charge controller to water 80 head. 100 watts kept up in 100 degree summer, but last winter it ran out after a week of cloudy days so I added another 100 watts this year, and went from 1000 gal to 6000 gal storage.
