Management and weed control the same as last year. We had hard cold rain after half was planted and the other half planted 2 wks later. The cold second half of July and august pretty much put a top on the yields here. Our highest fields are 59 - 60 and some of the worst affected by the spring rain were in the 40 s . Replanting on one 65 acre piece may have been a better plan in retrospect. I filled in the worst areas by planting over the emerged beans and saw an 8-10 bushel advantage over the ones I let alone. | |
