NW IN | Check with your accountant and see what they recommend. Mine has a deal with QuickBooks Online so the data flows very smoothly. There are other options, but that was the one that fit our situation the best. Converting data into usable formats get expensive, so finding programs where the data flows easily is a time saver and a money saver.
Edit: I assumed you are using cash for taxes, accrual for a better picture of year to year profitability. I have been doing cash to accrual for 5 years. No more expensive and I get a much better picture of how my year really went (actual versus budget). Hardest part is splitting out end of year fertilizer and pre pay for the next year. Takes a little time, but not much once you get the hang of it.
