| Cash corn would need to be sub $2 for it to even enter the thoughts of many in the corn belt to idle acres without the govt handing out money.
Lots of acres would take sub $1.50 to be losing money on the variable costs.
Never in my lifetime has the govt let crop prices get low enough to idle acres without govt intervention.
It won't happen now either even though they should stay out of it.
