If you have $100,000 of land and equipment payments, taxes, and living expenses per year, youre better off planting and netting $50,000 over your variables than not planting and trying to cover fixed expenses from thin air.
How long can you do that? Not very long in the current enviro. Better question, how long will your banker let you do that.
