I know what you're saying and I wasn't trying to be a smartdonkey.
We struggle with the same issue as your #3 with pigs/pork.
Profits are driven by pigs weaned/marketed per sow and feed conversion, but those 2 qualities do not necessarily put the best cut of meat on plate(quality). It's a constant struggle to find the middle ground and a little black ink along the way.
