scmn
Wilson semi trailers have 2 22,500 axles are are rated at 65,000 GVWR not 45,000 limit of axles

GVWR is the maximum weight rating of the vehicle; the maximum that GVWR can be is: axle weight ratings + hitch vertical weight rating, often it is less due to be limited by brakes, hitch, frame strength, etc. Example: 32' gooseneck trailer with 2 10k axles, 25,000# coupler rated at 25,000 trailer/7500 vertical you get a GVWR of 25,000 (2*10000+7500=27,500 but limited to 20,000 by coupler) same axles with 20,000# coupler would limit trailer to 20,000. Use a 30,000# coupler and GVWR could be up to 27,500 but may be set at 26,000 to avoid FET. likewise at trailer with 2 12k axles and 20,000 coupler would be rated at 20,000#. Basically, axles are not the only determining factor in GVWR for a trailer.
