scmn | Installed E/H disc on both our trailers. No more apt to leak than the brake lines on a pickup. Can't remember the last time I heard of a brake line getting tore off a pickup, so figured they would hold up better than wires on a trailer. The EHB mounts on the trailer and is controlled by the brake wire from the pickup (hence term electric over hydraulic). Essentially, when you press brakes the controller in the pickup applies voltage to brake circuit, the brake circuit turns on a pump (gets power from accessory wire and trailer battery), and brake pressure is regulated by brake wire voltage. | |
