NW Missouri | Depends on the shape of the combine. If it's in good shape - add field tracker. If it's starting to get worn out, trade combines.
You may do a really good job with your 20' now, but I bet you'll do a better job with a 25-30' head with field tracker. I went from a 20' without lateral tilt to a 25' with field tracker, and I'll never own another combine without it.
More power to you if you want to keep shelling 6 rows at a time, but I'd be looking for a bigger hopper topper or something. I have a 6 row head for a couple small custom jobs, and it seems like it takes forever compared to the 8 row. I can never remember to fold the damn ladder up either! | |
