Look at how 18' reacted in terms of movement from market events of 17'. It's only seen 43' cent trading window, with a high of 429.5'. The market sees no large supply disruption as we sit today. Accordingly implied vols for dec' 18' are incredibly low for a contract a year plus in the future. Another indicator of comfortable markets.
