There is so much more going on here than just yield. It isn't just grains that are setup this way. Cattle, hogs, meal, corn, beans, wheat, crude, gold, silver, cotton...they all look to be completing their formations. Throw in the overall context, and it appears to me that something is up. The dollar looks very weak to me even with this pullback. Maybe it's a big decline of the dollar coming, or countless other possibilities. Doesn't matter, price knows. There is absolutely some predetermination in markets. I don't understand it and never will, but it is amazing how fine-tuned markets are.[/QUOTE
Can you explain " completing their formations "?
Really, JP said it best, it's like a large ship making the turn toward the opposite direction. It takes time and often alot of real estate. Without showing charts I'd have a hard time explaining it. In a sense it's like the transition from the trend. Even though it's often not the pivot, it's the failure that leads to the larger move...if that makes sense?
