SW Iowa | You must remember B&C, in the '80's we had sky high interest rates. I remember paying 16% for a new JD 4440, and later guys paid 18%. I bought a farm in '85 on contract with 10% interest and a balloon payment in 10 yr. Now, with interest at 5.0%-6%, It takes a lot longer to burn off the extra cash. Not saying it won't happen, just not with $3.00 corn and $8.80 soys with record yields.. | |
