As someone in the "fringe" corn area, remember that our land costs take into account the higher basis we have here.    I can afford to keep planting corn, land is paid for and what I rent is fairly priced.   Also, I gain 25 cents a bushel by hauling grain 36 miles south instead of selling to local elevator.    I'm not planning on cutting corn acres.
