Land cost's will have to come down in the corn belt before the fringe areas start to cut acres. As long as the land cost's stay so high in the corn belt areas the fringe areas will be able to compete with their lower land cost's. If we have to cut acres in the US it is going to be hard on every area and I don't think anyone can expect a different area to cut acres without it affecting everyone first. The report scares me as it reminds me of the 80's again. Guys aren't in financial shape to take another cut in prices. |
